how to hide a backpack in a fancy restaurant
Alas, I do not have a camera with me on this fine trip to NYC, so I don’t have any pictures to post, which makes this one a little lackluster… please forgive me. 🙂
I am in NYC with a group of phenomenal women with whom I am in a coaching group – we are having breakdowns and breakthroughs and just a generally good time together! And we are only halfway through!! Hard to tell what gifts today will bring on this rainy, green with a vivid splash of purple clematis in the garden morning – but I’m confident that it will be beyond my imagination.
That is what is SO damn incredible about getting a group of women together who want to support one another in our individual pursuits to smash all the barriers that hold us back from truly living our sole purpose – it is always beyond expectations. This is the truly magical place where there is no such thing as disappointment. There is no way you can walk away from a circle of women who see the struggle in your shadow and truly build your faith and belief in yourself, that you are not alone – that you are incredible because this is a part of you, and that by claiming it proudly, not spitefully, you allow it to be the next step upon which you stand – growing taller and more into your beauty each step of the way. And in the process you radiate, and even strangers tune into this new energy you carry, as it is a ripple effect into every single aspect of your life, and you give others a charge to be their glorious selves just by being you.
We went to a luxe kinda joint last night for supper to celebrate all being together and the work we are doing, and in my visualization of the evening I hadn’t imagined carrying around a backpack, even though I had needed to take it with me yesterday to have something appropriate to change into for the evening after a crazy-incredible breath work class. So here comes this group of beautiful and powerful women purposefully down the sidewalk… me in my strapless brown dress, sassy too-much-fun tall fringe boots… and my red Jansport backpack that I have found quite functional for going on 12 years. Geesh. How hilarious is that! 🙂 Good times! Have a really spectacular day, all!
